Overview

Chat2Skill automatically extracts reusable skills and project memory from assistant conversations, distilling corrections, preferences, constraints, and project facts into SKILL.md files and a local SQLite store, then injects the most relevant context into future sessions for agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.

  • Extracts reusable atomized skills and project memory from daily assistant conversations after each session.
  • Injects retrieved project memory and relevant active skills into future sessions via lifecycle hooks.
  • Domain-general: works for coding, support, research, writing, operations, sales, education, and other domains.
  • Works with Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor; other agents can use included CLI scripts.
  • Creates PROJECT_SKILL.md synthesizing active skills into a project-level instruction file for review.
  • Runs a three-loop learning cycle: session learning, candidate refinement, and skill maintenance/merge/archive.
  • Data stays local in ~/.chat2skill (SQLite + markdown); cloud extraction is stateless and stores nothing.
  • Optional response guard enforces learned evidence-based deterministic wording rules on assistant output.
